Gmail:Import mail & contacts from hotmail,yahoo,rediff or others

frontGmailImportNow need not to login to multiple account to see achieved mails or new mails. You can manage all of your webmail account using Gmail.  Gmail is continuously innovating its features and marching ahead from its competitors. One of the new feature of it which will give you more  control over you all accounts. With new feature you can import all of your mails & contacts from other email-accounts into your single gmail account and can save hours of your time.

How can you do that.

login to your account on top-right you will see this. if you unable to see this, means service is not available in your country.importMailclick on the “Import mail & contact”, a new window/tab will open

enter your email account from which you want to import, and click on continue, now it will ask for the password , enter the password and click next , you will be on following window.

here you can select you choice,

Import mail: select it if you want to import mail.

leave a copy: select if you dont want to delete the mail on after import
archive: they will not be displayed in main inbox, rather in archive
Add label: must select this, as it will make you easy to find your mail.

click on start import button, gmail will start importing, but it may take some time before mail start appearing in your inbox or achieve box. so RIP , rest of web mail services.

Import mails from rediff yahoo hotmail

so you import from various popular account, hotmail, yahoo, aol, rediffmail.

Note: this service is not for people who got gmail account from Google Apps customers account. they have different way to do that.

    Sorry you did mention that Importing it with rediffmail in the example box ..which seems to be sad

    as rediffmail is a paid service the MAILS cannot be imported from gmail unless u buy the rediff pop3 access.

    so next better put up a real working example !

    anyway atleast you enlightened the starters..hahhah!

    Blah the same above post is applicable for YAhoo as y! doesnt even provide the pop or imap access with out upgrading to premium services

    Mr Blah, rediff is a free service. i practically imported the mails after that i wrote this post. you can try and comment , pls dont comment abbout things, which you do not know

    When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service?Thanks

    if you can brief what is not working, i will check and reply you.
    I practically attempted all then i posted it on blog.

    some times import from Rediff/hotmail etc take days to download.

    Getting error ‘Gmail couldn’t identify your pop server’ when importing emails from rediffmail to Gmail.

    pop server showing as pop.rediffmail.com

    Any suggestion??

    I think you are right and so was Anonymous Ghost gmail is not able to identify the pop.rediffmail.com

    I think we wil have to first pay to POP services…………

    Hey mate,

    POP3 access has to be enabled from rediffmail I suppose. When I tried to do the import I got the prompt:
    Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password.

    POP Server: pop.rediffmail.com
    Port 110
